Organizing songs with tags

Tags let you organize your songs into flexible categories such as genre, theme, event or occasion. Each song can have multiple tags, and you can define your own tagging system that fits your workflow.

Opening the song list

To start tagging songs:

  1. On the main screen, select All Songs to display your full Library.
  2. Optionally use sorting or search to narrow down which songs you want to tag.

Tagging a single song

To add or change tags for just one song:

  1. In the All Songs list, tap and hold (long press) the song title.
  2. In the menu that appears, select Tags.
  3. The tag selection screen opens for that song.

You can now assign, remove or create tags for this specific song.

Tagging multiple songs

To add or remove tags from several songs at once:

  1. In the All Songs list, tap the More… button.
  2. Tap Select.
  3. Tap each song you want to tag or untag (a checkmark will indicate selection).
  4. Tap Tags in the bottom menu.

The chosen tags will be applied to or removed from all selected songs in one operation.

Working with tags

In the tag selection dialog you can:

Assign existing tags
Tap one or more tags in the list to assign them to the selected song(s).
A tick (checkmark) next to a tag confirms that it is now active.
Remove assigned tags
Tap an active tag (one that is ticked) to deselect it.
The tick disappears, confirming that the tag will be removed from the song(s).

Creating new tags

You can create your own tags to match your setup (for example “Youth Worship”, “Christmas”, “Acoustic Set”, “Fast”, “Slow”):

  1. In the tag selection dialog, tap Add tag.
  2. Enter a name for the new tag.
  3. Pick a color to visually distinguish it in lists and filters.
  4. Tap Done to create and save the tag.

The new tag becomes available immediately and can be assigned to any song.

Tagging newly imported songs

After importing new songs:

  • You will find them under Recents on the main screen.
  • Use the same steps (single or multiple selection) to quickly add tags to all newly imported songs.
  • Over time, this builds a structured Library where you can filter and group songs by any combination of tags you have defined.
