Metronome
JustChords includes a built-in metronome that plays at the tempo you set for each song in your Library. This helps you practice and perform at the correct speed.
Setting song tempo
There are two ways to set the tempo for a song:
Quick tempo setting
- Touch and hold the metronome button to show the tempo settings.
- Use the slider to adjust the BPM (beats per minute) or tap Tap to the beat to set the tempo by tapping along with the song.
- Tap Save to store the tempo.
Via Song Editor
You can also set the tempo and time signature directly in the Song Editor when editing the song's metadata.
Using the metronome
Once a tempo is set for a song:
- Tap the metronome button to start or stop the metronome.
- The metronome will play at the tempo configured for that specific song.
Count-in
After starting the metronome, a count-in may appear depending on your metronome settings.
- The count-in gives you one or more bars to prepare before you start playing or singing.
- You can configure count-in behavior in the metronome settings.
This feature is especially useful when practicing with backing tracks or when coordinating with other musicians during rehearsal or live performance.
